Durrrr wins 6.2 million in cash games in 2008

Tom “Durrrr” Dwan has easily topped the list of biggest online poker money winners for 2008. Taking down the title with a staggering $6.2 Million in CASH winnings (mainly at Full Tilt), he easily crushed any challengers for the top spot with the guys trailing him (Phil Ivey among them) by well over 3 million dollars.
Durrrr went on a tear in the month of December, actually dipping to a low of around 2 million in total winnings during the first week. It appeared that Phil Ivey was going to make a run for the top spot but when that began hitting the newswires on the Internet, it apparently lit a flame under Dwan’s ass. By focusing on griding 24 tables at a time and using solid Turbo SNG Strategy, he was able to rack up the cash.

NOT.

This guy only plays the highest games available online, usually playing the $500/$1000 No Limit tables. The hands that go down at this level are sick, without a doubt. But Tom is as sick as they come and thrives at limits that would even make Donald Trump wet his pants. He never looked back and now has a bankroll larger than the combined bank accounts of the Big 3 Automakers in Detroit (not sure if that’s an insult or not).

There’s a rumor that Tom’s twin brother Tim is looking for a “heads up for rollz match” with Phil Hellmuth dealing the game. No word on whether a date or location has been set for this match.
